Hello Dennis,
I am a female and as you have probably guessed, I’m not interested in “bulking up”. I would like to loose weight and your youtube video inspired me very much. I used to be 200lbs and in the past 6 months I have lost 50 lbs on my own(going to gym and eating right) I am currently at 150lbs. I seem to have reached that nasty plateau effect that P90X talks about; and you can probably imagine the residual flab and skin. At any rate, I would like to know if you could tell me if P90X’s plan would be the right plan of action for me at this point considering I would like to tone my body and not grow alot of muscle: loose some more weight and get rid of the flab. Your story has been very inspirational and I would love to hear back from you!
Thanks Dennis,
Amanda

Hey Amanda,
P90X is an incredible workout program designed for people who are already in pretty good shape. I recommend you take the “fit test” that you can download from P90x.com.
If you have trouble meeting the minimum requirements for p90x, I’d recommend you consider either P90 or Slim in 6. Each of these programs are available at the Million Dollar Body store.
If you ace the fit test, you’re ready for p90x! But even if you don’t, you’ll be ready NEXT time…after you complete a round of one of the other two programs I mentioned.
The Million Dollar Body store also carries workouts such as “Yoga Booty Ballet”, “Shawn T’s Hip Hop Abs” and Charlene Johnson’s “Turbo Jam”…basically, alot of the workouts you see on TV. Beachbody/Million Dollar Body created all of these programs…including P90X.
You can get to the Million dollar Body Store at
www.dennishardy.com/order.htm
Let me know how the fit test goes. Hope to hear from you soon!

Very impresed with the play-by-play and pictures. I’ve been considering P90 for several months and have recently began to be drawn in to the infomercials again. I think I’m going to bite in the very near future. Thanks again and God bless.

What do you do after the first 90 days?
Does the diet have to be followed to a “T”?
Did you do any extra curicual lifting on the side I am a powerlifter who wants to trim but doesnt want to lose alot of strength.

i never received a comment about what i would need for equipment and supplements. Are there alternatives that i can go purchase rather than waiting for the equipment etc to arrive?

I just got in the mail P90X system. I am female and want to tone, slim and lose a bit of weight. How long will I do this until I notice results? Also, I dont want to bulk up, I want tone slender body, will this system slim and tone a female instead of bulk?

Dennis,
I just finished Day 6: Kenpo X and I love the whole program. I have to agree the Yoga was very frustrating and I found myself having to stop for a minute so that I didn’t throw something at the TV. I have another 11 weeks to go. The only thing I am a little weary on is the supplements. I like the recovery drink but I am curious if you know if I went all “natural” and just stuck with the diet an exercise would I acheive the same or close to results? I know there is Creatine in the recovery drink, which is why I ask. I am not a big fan of supplements and such.

Hello Dennis, your blog is the most proving and authoritative body fitness blog that I have ever come across. Why? Since you have provided day to day body fitness proofs. Really convincing. I will have to order the products in a couple of days too:P

Personally, my two favorites are the Yoga and the Kenpo. I find the weight training a bit less interesting. Anyone else is getting tired of hearing “Superman” “Banana” one zillion times in a row? lol P90X still is great though!
